In 1983 I graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and one in Resource Business Management.  For my final project I designed and made a little handbag and brought it from production to retail with all the steps in between.  That's where my love for handbags began.  I've been designing and making them ever since.  As many of you know, for 11 years I  designed and made a line of children's clothing called RizzoWear.  Although RizzoWear was very successful, I found I needed a change and decided I would go back to my first love and design and make bags for a living.

My husband Jim and I live in Southern Maine in the home we built for ourselves in Kennebunkport with our four dogs,  Marko and Tumpkin, Jack and Bella.  We moved to this area from a little town in north-eastern Maine called Bangor.  We decided to move south to be closer to my sister, who also lives in Kennebunkport.  www.SueRiouxDesigns.com

My husband Jim is a builder.  He has a small construction company called  Penco Construction that is doing very well.

Three of our four dogs are Miniature Pinchers.  They are a wonderful breed. If you'd like more information about Miniature Pinchers, go to the below link.  It will take you to a Miniature Pincher Rescue site which will give you lots of info. about these sweet little dogs.  http://www.allminpinrescue.com I am an active volunteer for this rescue.  We are always in desperate need for foster homes and new volunteers.  Please visit the site and if you can, help us out!!

This is little Bella.  Our newest and youngest Pin.  We adopted her from the above mentioned MinPin Rescue.  She was a year and a half old.  She is a wild child.  She love her brothers and would play 24/7 if someone would play with her.  She's keeping us all on our toes.

Our little Rizzo went to doggy heaven Feb. 10th, 2010 .  She lived with us for 16 years.  She was a fiesty, funny little girl.  We lost Sammy, also 16,  in May of 2010.  He was one of our first rescue dogs along with Marko.  Sammy had a rough life before he came to us.  I think he was happy and felt the love we had for him while he was with us.

New Phone Number Alert

We're moving into the 21st Century here on Blueberry Lane and dumping our

landline.  We're going all Wireless.  It's a little scary.  Anyway, if you want to

reach me by phone you should call 207-286-7262.  Of course, as always

I prefer a nice email over a phone call.
